The Snow 3 weeks later

Here are some pictures of the snow we still have 3 weeks after our first blizzard and then our second blizzard of February. They are calling for a couple of inches of snow tonight. I am now ready for summer!

Caroline's New Haircut

Caroline got a much needed haircut yesterday and she wanted all of you to see it. It looks really cute on her and she was excited to go to school this morning and show it off! She even wrote about her haircut during writing time today!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries for Valentine's Day

We all made chocolate covered strawberries today for Valentine's Day! They were our dessert after dinner tonight! Our menu was:

Shrimp Scampi Linguine

Steak

Twice Bake Potatoes

Asparagus

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

The strawberries were so yummy and a great way to end a wonderful meal!

Snow Slide

Caroline made her very own snow slide in our small front yard! Ryan was a little scared his first time, but then got the hang of it!

Feb. 8th Sledding

We finally were able to do some sledding today! Caroline and Ryan went down a few times before calling it quits. We are sledding down into the school parking lot for the teachers.

Feb.8th A walk to school

We decided we needed to get out of the house for awhile this morning so we headed out on a walk. We decided we would walk up to the school and see what the school looked like. Here are a few pictures from our journey.

The school! It was a beautiful white wonderland! Nothing has been plowed and very few cars have tried to find the road here. Caroline is standing in the road of the school! It was so pretty! It does not look like we will be going back to school any time soon! Surely with 5-10 inches of snow coming tomorrow night!

Feb. 7th Snow

Steve and Caroline went sledding behind our house on Sunday. Caroline went down first before I had the camera ready. Then Steve went! Caroline after only a few minutes started to cry and fuss about being cold, so they stopped sledding and came in for hot chocolate. Maybe tomorrow we will have better luck!

Ryan in the Feb. 6th snow

Ryan in the snow! He loved climbing the hills and trying to get to the top. He got stuck a few times and needed some help.

Caroline adventured out into the snow this afternoon and lasted about 15 minutes! The snow is very deep and it continues to fall!
