Caroline Turns 7 Years Old!

Caroline had a wonderful birthday! She enjoyed opening her cards and spending her birthday money on some new Barbies! She loved her horses and playing her new dance game on the WII. She had cheddar biscuits for breakfast, and we all worked together to make her Birthday cake! She had a really good day!

A Day out with Thomas!

Ryan's big day! We are riding on Thomas in these pictures and boy was he excited! He loved every minute of riding and watching Thomas. We loved Train Land and I believe it was all he could have dreamed of! It was a rainy, nasty, and cold day, but Ryan had a smile on his face the entire time! It was a good time!

A day out with Thomas part 2

We all were able to meet Sir Topham Hatt. Ryan was a bit shy about meeting him. We was so much larger in person, I guess it made Ryan a little nervous.

Riding a push train ride!

The Cagney Train. This little steam engine pushed us down the tracks, over a bridge, and into the train shed. We all loved this ride!

We are at Train Land! That is what Ryan would tell you!

Waiting to see Thomas on the tracks!

At this time in the day, we had already rode Thomas, but found a nice spot in the grass to watch Thomas go down the tracks many many times! Ryan loved to watch Thomas and wave to all the people on the train. We even put a few coins on the tracks for Thomas to go over. Caroline and Ryan were amazed to see the coins were flat and smooth after Thomas had left.

Waiting for Thomas to come back!

Caroline making an Amish Doll!

Caroline is learning how to tie knots in a quit at Build a Friend Workshop!

Caroline made this Amish doll on Saturday! Her name is Susie. This is a true Amish name. She picked her clothes and name and learned a little about Amish life as a child. They go to a one room school house for grades 1-8 and sit at friendship desks. Yes! They are allowed to sit with their friend at school! Caroline had a good time making Susie!

Choo Choo Barn

We went to Choo Choo Barn today in Strasburg, PA. This was a really neat place, filled with model trains, trees, lights, and model people. It was a boys dreamland! We all were amazed by this! I told Steve he should get a warehouse and do this with Ryan, then he could charge admission.

First Day of School 2009-2010

First day of school went great for all of us!

Ryan went right into his classroom without one tear this morning. I told him this morning before leaving the house that if he did not cry I would get him and Caroline a milkshake after school. It worked! Caroline had a great first day too! She loved sharing how she felt about her first day of school and learning all her new friends' names! There are 27 in her class, so there are alot of new faces from 12 last year! I had a great day too! Glad to have the first day behind me and I seem to have a good group of kids to work with! It was a super fast day, but boy I am tired! Early to bed for all tonight!
