1st Softball Game Ever

Caroline had her first softball game today! She had her team pictures, individual pictures, and league pictures before playing her first game! We arrived at 11:00 and she played her first game at 1:30. The game ended at 2:30 and it was a very warm day with little shade to go around! The whole team did a great job playing and were happy when the game was over. Caroline hit the ball every time and then stood at home plate and had to be told go to first then she would keep running down the foul line. It was very cute! It was so much fun watching her and the girls play their first softball game. Go Blue Angels! They won by 7 runs!

The Circus

We went to the Circus on Friday night and had a good time! The kids had a chance to go on the floor of the circus and meet the clowns and ride this horse. The show started at 7:30 and ended at 10:00. Ryan was ready to go home half way through the show and was very excited when the elephants came out. I had told him that we would go home after the elephants. So he clapped and clapped when he saw the elephants and then said, "Time to go home!" Caroline has talked about the circus all day and she had a really good time! I loved the circus as a child and hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. The circus for us adults was okay. It was better than we expected, but just good, not great! Maybe we will go again, but not next year.

No Pictures Please

We tried to take some pictures of Caroline and Ryan enjoying the show, but they did not like this idea at all! Caroline would only give mean looks and Ryan would not look at the camera. I guess The Greatest Show on Earth was so great that it was not worth stopping to watch for picture time.

Easter Egg Hunt

Caroline and Ryan hid Easter eggs in the back yard and then had Gee Gee find them. Look at where they decided to hide the eggs. They loved doing this and hid eggs outside and inside during the week.

Easter Sunday!

Easter Sunday!
This holiday seems to have so many great memories for me and it is my favorite. The spring morning with the birds singing and the flowers blooming everything seems new and it reminds me that God gave us new life through His Son! Easter sunrise mornings from my childhood are so special. The early cool morning and singing those old hymns, I stood beside family and saw the cross, and heard the simple message of Jesus dying on the cross and now he is risen. After the service Dad would let me drive and we would look at old houses or he would share memories with me of his childhood and the house he lived in. The food later in the day at Granddaddy's with our family, the charcoal grill smoking with so many burgers and hotdogs, and ending the day with kites on the church lawn. Great memories! I hope my children are able to have wonderful memories of Easter as well, and always remember the true meaning of Easter!

The Easter Bunny made a visit

The Easter Bunny visited our house!
He brought Caroline a My Little Pony car that she has wanted since Christmas, a My Little Pony bunny, markers, and chocolate. He brought Ryan a bubble train, a Thomas Easter train, markers, and chocolate. Caroline was in my room at 6am ready to go downstairs to see what was in her basket. They played this morning before getting ready to go to church.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

Caroline and Ryan are getting ready for Easter!
They had a great time dyeing Easter Eggs tonight!
Caroline loved this project and was patient and took her time with each egg. Ryan enjoyed dyeing eggs for a few minutes and then was off to play on the computer.

San Francisco Giants

Steve has a goal to go to as many ballparks as possible. So we now can check off that we have been to the San Francisco ball park. We had garlic fries! They smelled better than they tasted and enjoyed the great view of the bay from our seats!

Alcatraz

What can I say, Alcatraz is not where I belong! Steve on the other hand felt at home here! He likes a place that he can call his own and not have to share with me or our children! He also liked the peace and quiet. Ha Ha

Look at how happy he is in solitary confinement!
