Early this morning snow Dec. 19th 2009

This morning at 5 am Yoshi had to go outside. He had a terrible time in the snow. The moment he got in the snow he was lost deep in the white stuff! Let's play where is the world is Yoshi in this picture!

This is the deck at 9:30 this morning. We have snow and it is still coming down! We started our day with a big bowl of snow cream! Yummy!

Dec. 19th snow at noon

So the kids with Steve and GeeGee ventured out into the snow at noon today! They had a good time, but only lasted about 20 minutes. They took the top of the sandbox and used it as a sled down the hill behind our house.

Our snow video!

Here is Steve, Caroline, and Ryan in the snow!

Our first snowman of the season!

Ryan and Steve made a small snowman today! Caroline and I watched from the door and stayed in the warm house.

The snowman is as cute as our boys!

Of course Yoshi could not resist the food on the snowman and ate one of the cranberries off his smile. Crazy dog.

Caroline in the snow!

These are the sweetest pictures of Caroline in the snow! She was just playing and I was able to capture her without her trying to smile for the camera! She is loving the snow and the hot chocolate when she comes in!

Caroline lost her front tooth on my birthday! Now she doesn't have any front teeth. So you know what she will be singing this Christmas!

Caroline with her Daddy! Sweet sweet!

Christmas Pictures 2009

Christmas Pictures 2009
I started taking pictures tonight for our Christmas Card and Calendar for next year tonight! This was the easiest year yet! Caroline and Ryan were both in a good mood and cooperated. It helped that I bribed them with peanut butter pie if they did a nice job! I think I have some winners in the 171 pictures that were taken! The kids did get their slice of pie!

Our Thanksgiving Dinner!

It was just the four of us this Thanksgiving! We started our Thanksgiving meal this morning and had no real set time for dinner to begin. We had Thanksgiving around 1:30 today. We had vegetable casserole, sweet potato souffle, macaroni and cheese, dressing, gravy, cranberries and of course turkey! Steve made a chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert! We went around the table and shared what we are thankful for and Caroline shared facts about the first Thanksgiving! We missed being with our families, but enjoyed the day together! Here are a few photos from the day.

Caroline made placemats for the table, here is one she made for me!
Steve showing me that the mac and cheese is ready!

Carving the turkey, yummy!
All of us try to take a picture, before we say the blessing and begin eating!Caroline wanted a turkey leg, it is as big as she is!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We hope our friends and family have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from our First Grader!

Today the First Grade celebrated Thanksgiving! Caroline's class were the Native Americans and the class next door were the Pilgrims. The Pilgrims came and had lunch with the Native Americans! The Washington Post came by and interviewed the teachers, and took pictures of the students. It will be in the paper on Sunday! Caroline brought in mashed potatoes and turkey slices for the feast! They had so much food, but all the children had a great time!

The Native Americans waiting on the Pilgrims to arrive! Look at the parents hard at work in the back ground. Steve is taking the pictures, he stayed clear of the chaos.
