Family Day at Steve's Work!

As you can see there are no pictures of our day at Steve's work. Cameras and cell phones were not allowed. We got there around 9:45 and they had an opening ceremony and then had many activities for the families. Caroline went to one both and had to throw 3 dice and then try to add, subtract, multiply, or divide to get her age. She won! With lots of help! She won a yo yo and a bag! Caroline and Ryan also got a slinky from another both and at the Lockheed both they had lanyards, and coin purses. They also had lots of stuff on display for us to look at! The best part of the day was seeing actually where Steve works! It is so much nicer then what I had pictured. It looks like a hotel. Not old and green as I remember of his time in the Army. Caroline and Ryan liked meeting Steve's coworkers and Caroline met a boy in line for another activity and they became instant friends. It is nice to sit at home and picture where Steve is! This was the first family day in 8 or 9 years! Ryan asked Steve this morning if he could go to work with him again today and Steve told him it would probably 8 more years before we could visit. Ha We all had a great time!

Practice Makes Perfect!

Today Ryan and Caroline decided to practice for Halloween!

They got their pumpkin bags and practiced knocking on doors and saying Trick or Treat! They should be experts by October 31st! Caroline is a fairy and Ryan is Thomas this year! We are all so happy that Ryan decided to wear a costume this year, unlike last year when he refused.

Enjoy the video!

Happy Fall Y'all!

I picked this green pumpkin at the pumpkin patch last weekend and wanted to take a picture of it before it turns orange. You know you have a fresh pumpkin when it is still green. he he

Caroline and Ryan dressed up today for Halloween! They love their costumes and they are getting excited about Trick or Treating!

Remember me on Friday when I am with 20 third grades that will be super excited about Halloween all day and they are all able to wear their character (book character) costumes on Friday to school! Yippee! Teachers are to dress up too! Super Yippee! I think I will be Ramona from Ramona Age 8 or Fern from Charlotte's Web.

October family project

Caroline had her first family project that is due tomorrow.
We thought we did a pretty good job!
Caroline's family project was to decorate a pumpkin from contruction paper.
We used scrapbook paper for the eyes and mouth and tissue paper for the rest of the pumpkin.

Let's go down the slides

Here is Caroline and Steve going down the slide at the pumpkin patch today!
We all had a great time! We placed a piece of burlap under your bottom! We all flew down the slide!

Caroline, our daredevil!

Ryan was a little nervous about the slides. He repeated "it's too big" over and over.

Look at his face!

Go Redskins????

I think we have a Redskins fan in the house!
Ryan found Daddy's new hat!
Can you believe Steve has switched teams?
I know the Falcons will have a terrible year without Steve as a fan!

Excuse me

Excuse me Ryan, I know you want you privacy while in the bathroom, but I could not resist taking these photos today!

He has the potty thing down and has had no accidents in two weeks during the day or at night!

I know he will hate these photos when he is older!

A Typical Day

Here is Caroline and Ryan this past Saturday morning making banana bread! They love to help and eat banana bread! Both of them sifted the flour and pour ingredients into the bowl. It was yummy yummy!
Wednesday afternoons are busy at our house. Caroline has homework only on Wednesday's. So she comes in from school and gets busy working. Today she had to cut pictures of a pumpkin growing from a seed to a Jack-o-lantern then color and glue. Ryan was busy eating cereal, this is his favorite thing to eat these days. After we eat dinner we are off to church. Caroline and Ryan love it! I teach Kindergarten so I get to stay with Caroline! We get back to the house around 8:30 pm and head straight bed!
