CAROLINE'S 6TH BIRTHDAY!

Caroline had a wonderful 6th birthday!
She loved all her toys and enjoyed being at Grammy's house this year for her birthday!
She had decided months ago that she would go to the wedding with Steve and me on her big day, but changed her mind after arriving at Grammy's. She wanted to stay with Grammy, Ryan, and Rachel and play with her new toys, and keep Rachel company!

Caroline's birthday breakfast!

This is her Fancy Nancy doll that she got for her birthday! Fancy Nancy came to Caroline's birthday lunch and enjoyed birthday cake on a Fancy Nancy plate and napkin.
The birthday lunch menu
shrimp and pasta (requested by Caroline)
potato salad (requested by Caroline)
green beans
corn
steak
Raspberry Cake for dessert (requested by Caroline)

Baltimore and Ohio Train Museum

On a moments notice we decided to take Caroline and Ryan to Baltimore to the train museum. Ryan's birthday is tomorrow and we all know he loves trains, so what better place to go. Boy were we right! He was so excited, when we walked into the museum. He was running from train to train. Ryan was saying Choo Choo land. Caroline and Ryan saw diesel engines, steam engines, tenders, military cars, dining cars, cabooses, and model trains. They saw the roundhouse, it was a large area with a turntable in the middle. They walked into several steam engines, and now understand why steam engines need a tender behind them. Finally, we all got to ride a train! We think Ryan is more excited about watching a train then riding one. He likes watching the engine and all the cars go by.
We all had a good time!

Another art piece

Caroline created this in art class this week!

It is a picture of her kindergarten classroom.
She is standing in the front of the classroom looking out. You can see the bulletin board on the left, the window on the right, a table, a door, and the light bulb on the ceiling. Maybe she will become an artist, and we can sell these Kindergarten masterpieces for a premium. hehe
Way to go Caroline!

All Dried Up!

We were doing some laundry last night, when Caroline and Ryan decided to help!

They both wanted to sit in the dryer. This was a great time to talk about the dangers of sitting in the dryer and to never do this and to never shut the door. It is just a bad idea all around. They understood the dangers and know never to do this again.
But I did have to take these pictures of them.
It was just too cute!

A one of a kind dessert!

While I was making dinner last night, Caroline and Ryan decided to make this dessert. With bread and a jar of baby food bananas. The jar of baby food was for a science experiment with my class next week. I just needed the jar, not the food. I told Caroline and Ryan they could have the bananas. They made this dessert. Caroline called it Banana Pudding Pizazz! They ate every bite!
This is Ryan and Caroline with their Banana Pudding Pizazz dessert!
As you can tell Caroline's shirt is wet. She was in the basement playing in the water in the bathroom and Ryan was also apart of that adventure! They had soap everywhere. I guess they both were wanting to be creative yesterday!

A Goat!

Caroline went to art class today and drew this picture of a goat! She did a Great job! She shared with us that the art teacher gave step by step directions on what to draw and when. We thought she must have traced it, but Caroline did this by listening to her teacher's directions! I hope she listens to our directions this weekend! Way to go Caroline!

Caroline had her first french braid today! Here she is before school this morning. Caroline had a good day at school. Her class read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and then she made a tree with all the letters falling off the tree. Very cute! Ryan had picture day and wore his favorite orange shirt. I hope he smiled for his picture!

Yucky!

Kisses, kisses! Yucky!

Double yuck!

More kisses!

Let's clean faces now!!!!
It is time for a bath!!!

Another 1st day of Kindergarten!

Look at this face!
She was not happy that I took her picture tonight!
Well Caroline had another first day of Kindergarten today! A new class was started today because the Kindergarten was popping at the seams. Caroline was chosen for the new class! There are only 12 students in her class, so she should get plenty of attention! She was disappointed that the classroom was smaller and that the new room did not have a class pet. Overall she had a good day.
Ryan got his haircut last week! Steve took him to the barber and Ryan was really good! He loved the lollipop best of all!

Ryan on the phone with Gee Gee tonight, Caroline was still in her mood and would not talk. Maybe tomorrow she will back to her old self.

First Day of School!

Can you believe this little baby girl had her 1st day of Kindergarten today?
Steve and I cannot believe Kindergarten has started! We are so proud of Caroline and know she will have a great year!
Wow, where does the time go?
It seems like yesterday when she was in this car seat!

We took some photos this morning of us before school started.

I asked Caroline about school this afternoon and she said school was so much fun. Then asked if she could go back down stairs. She has Ryan in school in the basement! She is the teacher and Ryan is the student! Ha! I guess she loves school! Yeah!!!
