At the beach!

Here are some photos from the beach! We had a great week! Caroline and Ryan enjoyed going to the beach almost everyday and eating plenty of ice cream! Steve and I enjoyed many dinners out and spending time with his Mom and Ron! It was a wonderful week!

This was Caroline's first time on her boogie board and her last! She loved it and hated it all at the same time!

Everyone is having a great time in the water! The water temp was about 69 degrees. Burrrrr!

I taught Caroline how to do a head stand this week at the beach! She was a very fast learner. She is now doing head stands all by herself!

Of course what Caroline does, Ryan does! He wanted to do head stands too! He wants to be just like his big sister!

Happy Birthday GeeGee!

We were at the beach this year on GeeGee's birthday! So we were able to celebrate together! We all went out to breakfast and dinner and had birthday cake that evening! Caroline picked the cake out at a local bakery! We are so happy that we were together on her special day!

Riding around in my automobile!

Ryan was driving Caroline around on his four wheeler this morning! Caroline was on the back having a good time. They stopped in the kitchen for me to take this picture and then they were off again to ride around. This four wheeler has been great! This was a Christmas gift for Caroline when she was just 1 year old! They have both loved this toy!

Ryan at work!

Ryan has been busy busy since he woke up this morning. He pulled up a chair to the fridge and started working with his gears and letters. He worked with his gears for a long time trying to get things just right! One gear has a battery and moves and when it is linked to the other gears, it all moves. And look at the letters, yes, the same color letters in rows!

Our Friend Jackson!

Jackson and his Mom came over to play with us this afternoon. Caroline and Ryan always love to have Jackson over. They waited by the front door for him to arrive. The three of them played in the basement most of the afternoon while "the Mom's" stayed up stairs looking through recipe books!

At the end of the play date Jackson and Ryan decided to play the piano and their music sounded pretty good!

Trains, trains, trains!

Ryan drew a train with sidewalk chalk! He made this line and told us all it was a choo choo. He even wanted his picture taken with his train drawing!

Bubbles!

All kids love bubbles! We had our neighbor's children over last night and everybody had a good time playing with the bubbles. Look at Caroline's bubble! She made a large bubble with the bubble wand!

9 Pounds of BBQ!

Okay! This is a crazy story! We decided that on our way home from the beach that we would stop at several BBQ restaurant and pick of BBQ to freeze and eat later this summer. The BBQ in the Carolina's is so so good and nothing compares to it here! So we stopped at a total of 5 places and bought from 4.

We stopped at Parker's BBQ in Wilson, NC and had lunch! Caroline and Ryan got hats and they kept the hats on most of the trip home!

Here is Steve with all our BBQ! We marked each one so when we eat it later we will know where we bought it! We will take some to the beach next week! I know we are crazy, but I bet you wish you had some Carolina BBQ right now!

Walking on the Beach!

One night we went for a walk on the beach looking for more seashells! Caroline and Ryan were far ahead walking hand in hand! So sweet!

Ryan loved to follow Caroline! Where ever Caroline walked Ryan was right behind her taking the same steps! He really looks up to her and she cares about him so much!

Pool Time!

We all had a great time swimming in the pools. There were 3 pools, 3 baby pools, 4 hot tubs, and a lazy river! Caroline and Ryan swam in every pool at the hotel!

Papa and Ryan enjoying the water! After Ryan would stay in the pool for awhile he was ready for a snack and time in the hot tub! He loved the hot tub!

Caroline loved the pools! She swam so well this week and made several little friends in the water! She would jump off the side over and over again! She had a blast in the water! Caroline says her favorite part was the hot tubs too!

Searching for Seashells!

Caroline and Ryan on the beach searching for seashells! They found so many on our trip. We brought the shells home to place in our vase full of shells from other beaches including our time in Okinawa.
